A clear RFQ reduces compatibility mistakes and helps engineering recommend the correct development route.
What information is needed for a quotation?
Send the application, receiver or device information, function list, protocol or frequency, operating-distance target, estimated quantity, target market, branding needs and required delivery date.
Can you match an existing receiver?
Potentially, but compatibility must be verified from protocol, frequency, coding or pairing behavior and working samples. A similar-looking remote is not proof of compatibility.
Do we always need a new mold?
No. An existing housing is the preferred route when its dimensions, battery, key count, PCB space and branding area meet the project. New tooling is evaluated only when these constraints do not fit.
What affects MOQ and lead time?
Housing route, PCB and firmware work, tooling, printing, packaging, test requirements and component availability all affect the quotation. Final figures should follow specification review.
How should operating distance be stated?
Specify line-of-sight or obstructed conditions, test environment, receiver and antenna configuration, battery voltage and pass/fail criteria. A distance number without conditions is not comparable.
